The Mirror:

It is all about memories.

Why sometimes black and white? Sometimes Sepia? Sometimes color?

愈鮮明的記憶便以彩色表示，愈模糊的則以Sepia/Black n white表示。
人的記憶就是這樣。有鮮明的，也有模糊的。有連貫的，也有瑣碎的。

Why does his mum stare at the camera in that way when she is killing the rooster?

他愛著母親。但小時候的他亦有認為母親有令人恐怖的一面。

Why does it have to show the therapist scene in the opening?

那是Tarkovsky的「treatment」。
他透過那治療，終於都找到一個方法/屬於他的語言來訴說他的過去，記憶和夢。
